New website for professionals working with disabled children and young people

The Children’s Society developed a new website aimed at helping professionals working with disabled children and young people. The Disability Toolkit website, provides essentials resources, information and support needed by professionals supporting disabled children and young people in their decision-making and participation activities. The website is interactive and its content is constantly updated.

Supervision by an international expert in Ukraine

On the 20th of December 2007 supervision with an international expert, Jolanta Zmarzlik, took place in Kiev. During the meeting Ms. Zmarzlik told the participants about the process of changing Polish legislation concerning interrogation of minors and about creating child friendly interviewing rooms in Poland. Afterwards the participants had the opportunity to discuss with Ms.

Coordinators Meeting in Lisbon

Between 17th and 21st of November all the coordinators of the „Childhood without Abuse” project took part in the XIth ISPCAN European Regional Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect in Lisbon. Besides participating in all the sessions of the conference, there was a special Coordinators’ Meeting organized before the main event.

The First Children’s Embassy in the World-Megjashi continues with the last year’s campaign for more love and attention towards the children, but now with the motto “Did you tell you child how much you love him/her?”.

 



Your Honour, I have the right not to be scared

On the 10th of October 2007 Nobody’s Children Foundation together with Polish Ministry of Justice officially launched the second edition of the campaign “Child – Witness with Special Needs”.

For the 4th time the European Network Child Friendly Cities wants to invite everyone to participate in the Child in the City Conference which will be held at 3,4 and 5 November 2008 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

 

 



Short movie on child trafficking in Moldova

Training for judges in Ukraine

On the 8th and 9th of October 2007 there was a training for judges from local and general courts conducted in Kiev. The title of the training was „The role of judicial system in improving children’s protection system in Ukraine”.
