Social campaign Say No

Say No campaign aims at raising awareness of the problem of sex tourism from European countries. The campaign was launched on 27 June 2008 as an initiative of Jules Maaten, European Parliamentarian, and Fred Teeven, Dutch Parliamentarian, together with a group of other European MPs, members ALDE group in the European Parliament.

„Your Honour, I have the right not to be scared” creation awarded

On 20th June 2nd Edition of Direct Marketing Contest „Golden Arrow" took place in Warsaw. In the non-profit category, the award was given to the Gown, creation in the frame of the second stage of the Child as a Witness campaign, conducted under the slogan „Your Honour, I have the right not to be scared". The creation was prepared for the Nobody's Children Foundation by advertising agency - VA Strategic Communication Poland.



Fifth Regional Meeting of NGO children rights coalitions in Europe

Save the Children Romania is organizing the fifth Regional Meeting of NGO Children's Rights Coalitions in Europe, in Bucharest, on 27th - 30th October 2008. About 100 representatives of the civil society from 20 European countries are expected to take part in the event.

2nd International Conference “Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online”, 18th -19th September 2008, Warsaw

The 2nd International Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online" will take place at the Kyriad Prestige Hotel in Warsaw, on 18th -19th September 2008.
The conference is organized by the Polish and German Internet safety nodes, which work together within the framework of the European Commission Safer Internet Plus Programme. The main partner of the event is the TP Group Foundation.

Children Support Centre opened child-friendly interview room

Child interview room, opened on 22nd April in Vilnius, accomplishes the comprehensive system of support (psychological, social and legal) for children - victims of violence and abuse, offered by Children Support Centre.

First child-friendly interview room opened in Bulgaria

On 25th June 2008, first child-friendly interview room in Bulgaria officially opened its doors. The room, located in the Complex for Social Services in Pazardzhik, will allow child victims of violence and witnesses of crimes to testify in a friendly atmosphere, without necessity to be confronted with the defendant, his attorney, the prosecutor and the administrator writing down the testimony.



“Children’s Rights on the Internet - Safe and Protected” – seminar in Macedonia

On May 6th - 8th 2008, a seminar in the frame of the "Protection and safety of children and their rights on the Internet" project was held in Ohrid, Macedonia.

The project, financed by the European Union, is implemented by the Foundation Metamorphosis in cooperation with the First Children's Embassy in the World - Megjashi.

Macedonian celebrations of the Global Action Week

The Global Action Week is a worldwide campaign to raise awareness of the importance of free, compulsory public basic education for all people. It was initiated by the Global Campaign for Education, which brings together civil society organizations, NGOs, teacher unions and child rights activists.
