STUDY ON CHILD VICTIMS OF CRIME AND LEGAL PROCEEDINGS: THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA CASE

According to a new study released on April 24, 2013 by the National Center for Child Abuse Prevention (CN PAC), in co-operation with SOCIOPOLIS Center of Investigations and Consultation, Moldova experienced an increased number of cases in the criminal justice system that involved child victims of crime, mainly children aged 10-16. The study was conducted with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Moldova Civil Society Strengthening Program (MCSSP), implemented by FHI 360

New law on the protection of children against the negative impact of public information in Moldova

On March 7, the Moldovan Parliament adopted the Law on the protection of children against the negative impact of public information.
The law aims to establish criteria of negative impact of public information on children; clear provisions and standards on the spread information; rights, and obligations of the actors involved in developing, preparing, broadcasting, and supervising this activity of public interest.


Local supervisions in Moldova

International supervision in Moldova

20 psychologists from Municipal Department for Child Protection and foster care centres participated in the international supervision conducted by Bengt SÖDERSTRÖM regarding "Therapeutic tools and focus areas in treatment of sexually abused children and adolescents".
