EURONET is looking for Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer

The European Children's Network (EURONET) is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to coordinate new NGO campaign to combat violence against children in Europe.


The primary focus will be around combating corporal punishment of children, and the Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer will liaise with member organisations to develop EURONET's work in this area. The role will also involve coordinating a longer-term strategy for EURONET's work on combating different forms of violence against children. Liaising with partners as well as contacts within the EU institutions will be an important part of the job in order to promote EURONET's positions.
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in policy development and advocacy work with the EU institutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven understanding of and commitment to children's rights, in particular issues related to the protection of children against different forms of violence, and experience of working with NGO networks at European level is desirable. The candidate must have excellent English-language communication skills.
The role will be based in EURONET's Brussels-based Secretariat.
