Awareness of the campaign

The objective of the research carried out in February 2006 by TNS Gallup for Children Support Centre was to estimate if Lithuania’s people are aware of the ongoing “Childhood without Violence” campaign and how useful the campaign is.

Safer Digital Project in Lithuania

The Safer Digital project lasted from the 1^st of April 2005 to 31^st of March 2007. It is the national awareness node for Lithuania which helps children, parents and educators avoid the dangers associated with digital communication.

The article of Rūta Pabedinskienė describes the situation of Lithuanian children regarding the problems of sexual abuse and other forms of violence. It also reports the progress of implementation of the National Programme for Prevention of Children Commercial Sexploitation and Sexual Abuse.

This research was carried out by the Center of Public Opinion Researches "Vilmorus" for children rights organisation "Gelbekit Vaikus" (Save the Children Lithuania) between 4th and 7th of December 1998. 1002 adult Lithuanians were surveyed a few questions about corporal punishment towards children. Here we present the results of the research with a short comment.
