On the 10th of October 2007 Nobody’s Children Foundation together with Polish Ministry of Justice officially launched the second edition of the campaign “Child – Witness with Special Needs”.

 

 

 



Latvian conference CHILD AS A PARTICIPANT OF LEGAL PROCEDURES IN EASTERN EUROPE

Between 8th and 10th of November 2007 in Riga there took place an international conference under the title “Child as a participant of legal procedures in Eastern Europe”. Although there were mainly Latvians participating in this conference, there came also representatives of all the countries participating in the “Childhood without Abuse” project.



Expertise: child witness – legal aspects according to Bulgarian law

This expertise gives an overview of legal procedures in which a child has to participate in Bulgaria in cases of being a victim or witness of a crime. It is also an attempt of assessing how the idea of child-friendly interviewing is popularized in Bulgaria.

Child: Witness with Special Needs in Poland

Your Honour, I am scared
The first stage of the campaign "Child: Witness with Special Needs" was carried out in Poland in the years 2004-2005. On February 22, 2004, during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Justice and the Nobody's Children Foundation, 2004 was announced the Year of Child Victims of Crime. Moreover, several programs were inaugurated, aimed at protecting children from crime and supporting child victims of crime who participate in legal procedures.
