2nd International Conference “Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online”, 18th -19th September 2008, Warsaw

The 2nd International Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online" will take place at the Kyriad Prestige Hotel in Warsaw, on 18th -19th September 2008.
The conference is organized by the Polish and German Internet safety nodes, which work together within the framework of the European Commission Safer Internet Plus Programme. The main partner of the event is the TP Group Foundation.

“Children’s Rights on the Internet - Safe and Protected” – seminar in Macedonia

On May 6th - 8th 2008, a seminar in the frame of the "Protection and safety of children and their rights on the Internet" project was held in Ohrid, Macedonia.

The project, financed by the European Union, is implemented by the Foundation Metamorphosis in cooperation with the First Children's Embassy in the World - Megjashi.

Council of Europe urges governments to ratify a Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Abuse

The Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse was adopted and opened for signature in October 2007, and since then has been signed by 28 of the Council of Europe's member states. It is the first international treaty to provide criminal penalties for those who sexually abuse children and a valuable tool for preventing and combating violations of children's fundamental rights.



Childrens Rights on the Internet – Safe and Protected

The First Children’s Embassy in the World is currently working on the project conducted in partnership with Foundation Metamorphosis.
The main objective of this project is the protection of children’s rights on the Internet. The project aims at achieving that goal through raising the awareness among children in Macedonia, their parents and teachers, as well as the NGO sector and media, through various activities.
