2nd International Conference “Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online”, 18th -19th September 2008, Warsaw

The 2nd International Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online" will take place at the Kyriad Prestige Hotel in Warsaw, on 18th -19th September 2008.
The conference is organized by the Polish and German Internet safety nodes, which work together within the framework of the European Commission Safer Internet Plus Programme. The main partner of the event is the TP Group Foundation.

The Warsaw conference will bring together representatives from the education sector, NGOs, law enforcement, government and industry. It will address a wide variety of issues relating to children and young people's safety online, such as cyberbullying, social networking sites, child safety and mobile phones, and online gaming. The aims of the conference are to raise awareness of the new challenges and opportunities in fighting Internet threats and to help share best practices across different sectors. Sessions will be led by recognized international experts in the field of child protection.

Deadline for application is 29th August 2008.
