Local trainings in Ukraine in 2012

Two local trainings for 51 professionals (social workers, psychologists, pedagogues from kindergartens, public and non-governamental institutions and organizations from different regions of Ukraine) took place in Ukraine on 23rd and 24th of November and on 7th- 8th of December 2012. Professionals were prepared to carry out workshops and seminars for parents based on the scenarios "Without a smack" developed by Nobody's Children Foundation. Thanks to this tool professionals will be able to provide support for parents of small children and enhance their knowledge about factors for correct and healthy child development, on how to control emotions in difficult situations and where to seek assistance and support.

13% of participants evaluated the trainings as useful and 87% - as very useful. 42% of specialists who took part in the trainings stated that they will put into practice the newly acquired information, 35% have better understanding of the situation of abused or neglected child and 23% of participants will share the information with other professionals.
All the specialists plan to include elements of the training into theirs work or the work of their organization
