Interdisciplinary help for child victims of crime, abuse and neglect

No. 23/2008 of the periodical "Abused Child. Theory, Research and Practice" published by the Nobody's Children Foundation was dedicated to the problem of systemic help for abused children, which is also the leading theme for the current year's Childhood without Abuse Project activities.

Working in interdisciplinary teams proved to be the most effective way of helping abused child and it's family. This periodical gives theoretical background of systemic work on it's different levels. It also contains articles focusing on Polish, as well as foreign solutions in the field of systemic help for children.

The quarterly magazine "Abused Child. Theory, Research and Practice" has an interdisciplinary character and aims to broaden knowledge about different aspects of child abuse. In the periodical the most relevant theoretical concepts, empirical data and information about innovative activities of diagnostic, therapeutic and preventing character are presented. The goal of the periodical is to establish form of sharing experiences concerning combating child abuse, sharing good practice and information about important events like conferences, congresses, training and publications in this field. The quarterly magazine is published in Polish. Abstracts of the articles in Polish are available on www.dzieckokrzywdzone.pl, the Nobody's Children Foundation website devoted to the problem of child abuse.
