Local Trainings in the Ukraine

Two local trainings were conducted in the Ukraine: on September 27-29 and October 20-21  2011. The topic of the first one was  “Child sexual abuse prevention” and the second one: “Commercial sexual exploitation of children”. Altogether 38 professionals participated in the trainings. They were the representatives of Kiev City Centers of Social Services for Families, Children and Youth, NGO representatives, educational department’s representatives, social pedagogues, psychologists.

Local training in Poland

The local training for interdisciplinary teams of judges, prosecutors and psychologists (altogether 15 participants) took place 12-13 December 2011. The aim of the training was to enhance participants knowledge regarding child victims of crime and methods of interviewing minor witnesses, assisting child and the family in the course of intervention, as well as establishing a connection with a child who suffered from traumatic experience. The training has been evaluated as very useful.

Local training in Poland

On 20.02 and 1.03 the training with the international expert took place in Warsaw. The expert was Anna Norlen, psychologist and psychiatrist form Sweden. The topic of the supervision were the methods of work with children, who experienced abuse. In the supervision participated 30 professionals- 1 participant from Ukraine (Child Well-Being Fund) and 2 from Lithuania (Children Support Center).

Local trainings for professionals in Moldova

In December 2010 two trainings organized by NCCAP took place in Moldova. The topic was the legal assistance of children-witnesses of crime. Altogether 42 prosecutors from all regions of Moldova has been trained.
