The activity book for children to help them in getting ready for witnessing in court. It is dedicated for younger children (5-12 years old) and should be filled in by a child under the supervision of a professional or a parent or a caregiver. By short and easy description it helps to understand the institution of court justice and the role and obligations of a little witness. The book was published in Poland in 2002. In 2006 it was adopted and printed in Lithuanian by Children Support Centre and in Latvia by 'Dardedze' Centre. Lithuanian version of the book got the recommendation of the Ministry of Justice and is going to be re-printed in bigger number of copies in 2007 thanks to the financial support of the Ministry. By now the book has been adopted and printed in all other countries participating in the project. The book is not used any longer in Poland as children are interviewed in friendly interviewing rooms placed usually outside the court buildings. In other countries participating in the project all or most of the children have to go to the court and participate in the trial as adult victims. The booklets instruct psychologists and parents about how to familiarize the child with the court and persons who he or she is going to meet there, and the situations to be expected during the court proceedings. There is left some space for child's drawing to help them communicate their fears and imagine themselves in situations that he or she is going to face. In the book there are asked and answered questions of the little witness, such as: what will happen if I am nervous, sad or I start crying; how long will I have to stay there, what will they ask me about, and other question. In the first part of the book there is described the court room and the people that take part in the trial. Last page of the booklet contains the basic advices for parents and caregivers how to support child in such a difficult moments.
