Child Abuse and Neglect

The first web based education on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders in Russian language has been recently developed by the Prevent FAS Research Group.

On 25th - 28th November 2008, following the 1996 Stockholm and 2001 Yokohama global forums, Brazil will host the World Congress III against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents in Rio de Janeiro.

Today the World Day for Prevention of Child Abuse is being celebrated for the ninth time. It was launched in 2000 by the Women's World Summit Foundation in order to create a culture of prevention of child abuse, raise awareness, mobilise public opinion and disseminate successful child abuse prevention programmes.
