5th International Conference - Prevention of young children abuse

On 11th of May the 5th International Conference „Prevention of young children abuse" took place in Warsaw Medical University. It was organized by Nobody's Children Foundation within „Childhood without abuse -towards a better child protection system in Eastern Europe" project financed by Oak Foundation and "Smack free home for every child" project financed by European Commission Daphne III.

During the opening the winner of Alina Margolis Award for outstanding work in the field of protecting children was presented. This year the award went to Joanna Radziwił from Św. Jan Jerozolimski Foundation. The plenary and parallel sessions were devoted to the importance of attachment between parents and children as a factor of protecting from abuse, other forms and aspects of prevention as well as involved actors and services such as medical service or parents- volunteers.

The conference was also a forum for the presentation of the report on Situation of Young Children in Poland.
