Supervision by an international expert in Moldova

On the 17th of December 2007 Maria Keller-Hamela, an international expert in psychology, conducted a supervision in Chisinau, Moldova. As the year 2007 was devoted to the specific situation of child victims of crime who participate in legal procedures, the meeting covered the following aspects:

 

· Practicing interviewers’ skills in building rapport with traumatized children

· The analysis of factors facilitating and hindering communication with children

· Conditions and methods of effective interviewing:

- Interview phases

- Psychological credibility of a child witness’ testimony – evaluation criteria

- Coping with difficulties when interviewing a child.
