The Neglected Children Society (NCS) was founded in 1997 and is an affiliate member of the ECPAT network. NCS members work on a voluntary basis and include experts on prevention of juvenile delinquency, the judicial system and the police, as well as specialists in research, psychology, sociology, social work and publishing.
Goals:
- Prevent violence against children, child prostitution, child trafficking for sexual purposes and all other forms of child sexual exploitation.
- Reintegrate children at risk.
- Rehabilitate child victims of CSEC.
Activities:
- Lectures in schools for students and parents about the risks for children of being involved in prostitution, pornography and trafficking and issues related to the protection of children against sexual abuse and trafficking for sexual purposes.
- Psychological consultations and psychotherapy interventions with parents and child victims of domestic sexual abuse and prostitution.
- Psychological rehabilitation and social reintegration to victims.
