Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children

With the active involvement of the "Childhood without ΠΆears" association and the assistance of the State Agency for Child Protection, Bulgaria was included in the list of 16 European countries that have prohibited all corporal punishment of children. The list was made by the Global Initiative to End All Corporal Punishment of Children launched in 2001. The Global Initiative aims to speed the end of corporal punishment of children across the world and to see Europe a corporal punishment free zone. The Global Initiative has the support of UNICEF, UNESCO, The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and many international and national NGOs.
