Child Abuse and Neglect

British Association for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect is announcing 7th NATIONAL CONGRESS to take place on 13th - 16th September 2009 at Swansea University, Swansea, South Wales, UK.

Child Well-Being Fund Ukraine is currently implementing the project "Overcoming Violence - Piloting a Model for the Structural Prevention of Violence towards Children" in the partnership with the State Social Service for Family, Children and Youth, Kiev City Centre of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth, Kiev City Service in Child Affairs with the financial support of international organization "Bread for the World" (Germany).

Macedonia is the first Childhood without Abuse Project country to inaugurate See it, Hear it, Say it campaign. With a press conference held on 7th November as a starting point, the campaign will soon be visible with leaflets and posters distributed on the whole territory of Macedonia.

As recent article in Vest Newspaper announces, the Ministry of Justice in Macedonia has proposed changes concerning child abuse to be made in Criminal Code. Amendments are the Government's response to the ongoing rise in the cases of sexual assaults of children.
