Coordinators meeting and site visit in Kiev

Between 19th and 20th March 2009 coordinators of the „Childhood without Abuse" project met to discuss future of the project and achievements up to date. Participants described current situations of child abuse systems in their countries and their ongoing activities directed at its improvement.

 

One of the topics of the meeting were different social campaign for prevention of child abuse and their applicability in project countries. The meeting was organized by Ukrainian partner in the project - "Child Well - Being Fund".
After the meeting coordinators took part in site visit in the Ministry of Youth, Family and Sports. Representatives of the Ministry presented their efforts related to campaigning in favour of better child protection in Kiev, education of social services officers and combating trafficking in children. The Ministry is extensively cooperating with non-governmental organizations, with "Child Well - Being Fund as one of the main partners.
