The report focuses on online risks for children and policies to protect them as Internet users. It examines direct and indirect policy measures available to OECD member and non-member countries to help mitigate risks for children online.

5th international conference about keeping children and young people safe online, 20-21 September 2011, Poland

The 5th International Conference “Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online” will be held on 20-21 September 2011 in Warsaw. The Conference is organized by the Polish (Nobody’s Children Foundation and NASK) and German (klicksafe) Safer Internet Centers, established within the European Commission’s Safer Internet Programme.  The conference is organized under the patronage of Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The main partner of the event is Orange Foundation.

Publication on child abuse prevention in Poland

A new volume of the NCF quarterly "Abused Child. Theory, Research and Practice" devoted to the topic "Prevention of child abuse" has been published in the end of May. The volume contains articles on preventive programmes about child trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and cyberbullying.

Report on risk and safety on the Internet

The report presents the full findings from a new and unique survey designed and conducted by the EU Kids Online network. A random stratified sample of 25,142 children aged 9-16 who use the internet, plus one of their parents, was interviewed in 25 European countries. The survey investigated key online risks: pornography, bullying, receiving sexual messages, contact with people not known face-to-face, offline meetings with online contacts, potentially harmful user-generated content and personal data misuse.
