20 November: Universal Childrens Day

Universal Children's Day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly resolution in 1954, which encouraged all countries to observe this day by promoting mutual exchange and understanding among children and to initiate actions for the welfare of children. This year the day coincides with 19th anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
