Ukrainian media about child trafficking

The growing problem of child trafficking and child abuse through prostitution is raising concerns in Ukrainian media. The Epoch Times, in an article based on UN report, states that children aged from 13 to 18 make ten percent of trafficking victims in Ukraine.

Most of them are trafficked to Russia and forced into physical labour or prostitution. Child trafficking takes place also within the country. The victims are made to give away the money they earn to cover the cost of food, transportation and accommodation, which leaves them with little chances to become independent from traffickers.
