Victims in Europe report

The report "Victims in Europe: implementation of the Framework Decision on the Standing of Victims in the Criminal Proceedings in the Member States of the European Union" includes information about the national reality of each of the 27 Member-States of EU, as well as a comparative analysis on this issue, pursuing a transnational perspective of the implementation. The Report was developed in the course of the activities of Project Victims in Europe, co-financed by the European Commission and promoted by APAV (Portuguese Association for Victim Support) on behalf of Victim Support Europe.You can download the publication here

Online games for children victims and witnesses of crime

British charity Victim Support has prepared online educational activities for victims of crime. They can be used individually or in the frame of school activities. Games aimed for young victims of crime in particular - "How are you feeling?" and "Word wrecking yard" - are accompanied by preventive activities focusing on personal safety and healthy relationships.

Guide on interviewing children for Moldovan professionals

In December 2009 National Centre for Prevention of Child Abuse in Moldova issued a practical guide "Interviewing children victims and witnesses of abuse for legal purposes". It contains information about child abuse phenomenon and methodology of interviewing children. Main target group for this publication are criminal investigation officers, prosecutors, judges, teachers, psychologists and students. Publishing of the book was supported by ABA ROLI and USAID.

The magic book

Rosa Association from the Czech Republic is carrying a project aiming to support children - victims of domestic violence. Due to the violence that occurred or the parents' divorce a child often has to give statement in front of the judge or the police. Recently Rosa Association has issued "The magic book" - a tool created to help the children to adopt to this new and difficult situation and to enable them to express emotions.
