Recovery and reintegration of sexually exploited children: OAK Foundation report

Report titled "Recovery and Reintegration of Children from the Effects of Sexual Exploitation and Related Trafficking" has been recently published by OAK Foundation. The publication presents a range of best practices and interdisciplinary initiatives developed in the field of assistance to children traumatised by sexual abuse.

The emphasis is placed on families and communities as powerful sources of support for children who have been exposed to sexual exploitation. Their capacity needs to be strengthen in sustainable way by more efforts and funding.
The report was commissioned by the Child Abuse Programme of Oak Foundation and written by Stewart Asquith and Elspeth Turner. Its aim was to advise OAK on funding priorities, yet outcomes and conclusions make it interesting to wider audience.
