In the past few months two trainings for professionals working with children have been conducted in Bulgaria, in the frame of the Childhood Without Abuse Project.

First training, conducted by Jolanta Zmarzlik and Maria Keller-Hamela, took place on 9th-11th April 2008, in Sofia, the second one, by Maria Keller-Hamela, was organised on 9th - 11th June 2008, in Shoumen.

 The workshops focused on the issue of interviewing children and gathered representatives of courts, prosecutor's offices, police, NGOs and other institutions involved in child protection. They were meant to contribute to building professional capacity of the institutions and NGOs in Bulgaria and introducing good practices in the pre-trial and trial legal practices involving children.

The workshops were organised jointly by the Nobody's Children Foundation from Poland, Social Activities and Practices Institute from Bulgaria, Bulgarian Judges Association, and Bulgarian Ministry of Justice.
